    Wow, what a surprise. Wendy was the strongest woman I ever met. Not enough room to write about some of her great qualities. Will never forget our time going north in the Sea of Cortez.

    We feel so blessed to have spent time with Wendy in April on our way north from Mexico. Paddle boarding in Dana Point Harbor and dinner and a pitcher of margaritas the night before. Priceless. We will be thinking of Wendy tomorrow during her celebration and sending love from Florida.

    “Wendy Lady” has been a bright spot in our lives since we met her on Dock 3 in La Paz 3 years ago. We’ll always remember her great smiles, “hey there Sunshine!” greetings and her enthusiasm for just about everything. She will be missed, but her spirit will continue!

    Hello Wendy’s family and friends;
    My name is Ben and I have just purchase Wendy’s beloved Willow. Unfortunately the owner of Willow following Wendy’s death was unable to keep her and put her up for sale not long after buying the boat. It is my plan to to restore Willow to her previous excellent condition and to make some significant updates and improvements to the boat as well. I am not allowed enough space here to tell you of all of my plans and “story”. However I would like to share with you that I lost my dear wife of 30 years to cancer 9 years ago. I will change Willow’s name to honor her with the new name Dawn. I have read all of Wendy’s blog entries and it has been tremendously helpful in learning about the boat’s history from Wendy. More importantly I feel that I have met Wendy and the wonderful and capable woman that she was. The previous owner is absent and unavailable for background information or history so Wendy’s blog has been particularly helpful. It is my hope that I can honor Wendy by keeping the wonder and adventure of Willow alive. I would be happy to hear from any of Wendy’s friends and family if you would like to know more about the boat or it’s voyages. You may reach me at americanrancher at gmail dot com. My love to all of you, Ben
